About

Hi, I’m Sam. I strive to build technology that empowers humans.

I’ve spent the last decade building software products and leading empowered, interdisciplinary teams. I champion continuous user research, iterative design and development, and inclusive, collaborative culture. I come from a mixed background with experience in facilitation, product management, instruction, UX research, software engineering, performance art, and more.

Pillars of how I work

As a facilitator, I hold space to shift culture toward a more inclusive, nurturing, creative way of relating and working together. This means welcoming and valuing diverse voices, cultivating psychological safety, and inviting people into playful, participatory activities.

Let’s work together!

Available for a full-time role in UX Research

My background is in product management, most recently at a User Interviews building tools for user experience researchers. Spending so much time learning about the field of UX research sparked my interest in pursuing a full-time UXR role.

My product management lens helps me connect every research question to business outcomes and decision-making. I also have a customer service-oriented background in instruction, tourism, and performance art, which helps me connect and empathize with people’s experiences and needs. And as a former software engineer, I’m comfortable diving into data and contextualizing user behavior in the product UX. As a UX researcher, I construct mixed-method, narrative insights with actionable recommendations.
